Synopsis
In 1928, while Paris was living through the Roaring Twenties, dancer Ida Rubinstein commissioned Maurice Ravel to compose the music for her next ballet. Paralyzed and lacking inspiration, the composer leafed through the pages of his life—the failures of his early career, the fracture of the Great War, his impossible love for his muse Misia Sert… Ravel then delved deep into his soul to create his universal masterpiece, Bolero.
