Synopsis
Jean-Luc Godard often transformed his synopses into aesthetic programs. Drôles de guerres follows in this tradition and will remain an ultimate cinematic gesture, accompanied by the following text from the director: “No longer trusting the billions of dictates of the alphabet, in order to restore freedom to the incessant metamorphoses and metaphors of true language, by returning to past filming locations, while taking into account the present day.”
