The international retrospective housed by the Palais des Beaux-Arts de Lille is devoted to an artist who was inventive and much admired by the avant-garde. The artist also inspired american aritists, including Edward Hopper, Dorothea Lange, Terrence Malick or Mat Collishaw, among others, whose work the exhibition Millet USA foregrounds.
