Synopsis

France, 1640. Maître Pompignac, a lawyer, has the distinction of never having won a case: all his clients have died, been drawn and quartered, impaled, or boiled alive. So when a woman comes to him asking him to defend the young and innocent Josette, wrongly accused of murdering a marshal, he thinks he has found the case of his life. However, he hadn’t counted on his opponent, the formidable and renowned Maître Valvert, and above all on Josette, who turns out to be a goat.

What we did

Le Chaînon Manquant conducted iconographic research. The illustrations proposed had to match the period in which the film is set, i.e., the 17th century.
